MORNINGSIDE
Morningside Nursing Home is situated on the south side of Edinburgh in a quiet residential area.The home is a Victorian sandstone building with many of its original features and is set in extensive grounds which residents can enjoy.
ACCOMMODATION
Morningside can offer accommodation for up to twenty-six residents and we have twenty-four single bedrooms and one shared bedroom. Each room is individually decorated and fully furnished. Residents may if they wish bring their own items of furniture.
NURSING AND MEDICAL CARE
Morningside provides twenty-four hour qualified nursing care. Each resident will be allocated a key worker to welcome and support them during their stay. Residents may wish to retain the services of their current GP. If this is not possible, we will assist each resident to find a GP within the area.
CATERING AND SERVICES
We offer a choice of menu and pride ourselves on using good quality fresh meat, fruit and vegetables. We also offer home baking which is all prepared and cooked on the premises. Special dietary needs are catered for.
Residents can enjoy activities, either in-house or local events, for example local theatrical productions or film shows. They may also wish to go shopping in Morningside or further into town which can be arranged with our activities organiser.
The home provides an in-house hairdresser. All laundry is washed in-house although we advise that items of clothing are machine washable and name tagged.
Short term stays are provided to allow a break for families and carers.
Visitors are, of course, welcome at any time.
